The Siemens MAGNETOM 3T Tim Trio MRI scanner was installed in August 2010 and was fully operational by October 2010. The scanner is located in the newly renovated Sherman Health Science Research Centre, which was made possible by a generous donation from the Sherman family. The building was originally the York University ice arena. The MRI scanner sits in the old Zamboni ice resurfacer room, consistent with a great Canadian past time.
